New look BBC flops with viewers

New look BBC flops with viewers

Every now and then the BBC splashes out on a make over for their daily news programmes.

This time it was a little different as they have gone for a total redesign and branding for the newly renamed BBC News and BBC World News bringing the channels and bulletins into a more corporate look.

However since the changes, which cost the BBC £550,000, there has been a viewer uprising with some of the remarks not being very flattering at all.

One of the main complaints is the cost, with many people suggesting that a viewer competition may have been more appropriate, rather than spending huge amounts of cash on consultants.

The BBC have had to bring the UK and World news into line with each other as it shows to the worldwide audience that they are not separate, but part of a larger organisation.

The problem with the redesign is that it is probably just too subtle, whereas if they had gone for something completely different the reaction may have been different too.
