Occasional use provider SpaceConnection will acquire the occasional use satellite space segment services business of 5DTV, SpaceConnection announced May 13.
The acquisition will bring enhanced capacity and customer service for 5DTV’s Canadian customers, the company said.
“Now that the transaction has closed, we want to take this opportunity to reassure 5DTV’s customers of our continuing commitment to providing them the excellent satellite services they deserve,” Mike Antonovich, president and CEO of The SpaceConnection said in a statement. “We will be continuing to offer our Canadian clients preferred access and excellent rates on Telesat’s Anik fleet of satellites, plus access to the rest of our extensive satellite inventory.”
Financial details of the transaction were not given.
