May 29, Colombo: Telecom giant Lanka Bell has launched wireless broadband access for enterprise and home users, offering Internet connectivity at speeds of up to 10 megabits per second (Mbps).
Three new broadband internet packages unveiled by Sri Lanka’s second largest ‘fixed-line’ operator offer homes and offices instant high speed connectivity directly to their computers.
The standard Bell Broadband connection costs Rs. 10,000 for all user categories and offers unlimited downloads for Rs. 2000 a month for residential users at 512 Kbps, or Rs. 3000 or 5500 a month for office users who require connection speeds of 1 Mbps or 2 Mbps, respectively.
