Spain: 15% out of DTT reach
Spain: 15% out of DTT reach

The Pro DTT Association Impulsa TDT has warned that 15 per cent of Spaniards run the risk of not having access to DTT when digital migration is completed in April 2010.
The president of Impulsa, Eladio Gutierrez, played this down by saying that in other countries the percentage was higher and "there was no incident at all". By way of comparison, he said that "sixty per cent of Spanish homes have a computer, but only forty per cent use the Internet".
So far, 10 million DTT receives have been sold in Spain, with 33 per cent of the population already watching DTT, with an average audience share of 14 per cent. Gutierrez referred to how DTT is viewed in Spain: DTT national conventional channels are watched through analogue television and thematic channels through DTT". he concluded: "We need all of the channels to be watched through DTT" to boost the use of digital television.
