Sever shipments deliver for SeaChange

SeaChange has reported a year-on year revenue increase of 17%. The VOD technology and services provider said the revenues of $45 million (€28.94m) in the first quarter of its 2009 fiscal year had highlighted the strength of software following a realignment of its operating segments. These include the UK-based On Demand Group (ODG), which provides content into a number of leading VOD systems.
The revenue increase is primarily the result of increased VOD server shipments to Noth America, but higher broadcast server revenues from Europe and Asia also played a part.
However, Media Services revenue for the first quarter fell by $0.4 million to $4 million due to lower ODG professional services revenue from customers in Latin America
