ANGA Cable - Cologne. ANGA Cable has attracted more than 12,000 trade visitors, who travelled to Cologne to attend the fair and convention for cable, broadband and satellite. This is up 20% from last year, when 10,000 people attended. 369 companies from 29 countries exhibited in the fully booked hall on over 22,000 sq m gross floor space.
Thomas Braun, president of ANGA Verband Deutscher Kabelnetzbetreiber (Association of German Cable Operators), said in a prepared statement: “Our fair has yet again confirmed that the cable industry is on the upswing. The German cable operators’ triple play offers lead the market in terms of quality and price. It is our aim to grow faster in broadband Internet than the DSL providers.”
Herbert Strobel, chairman of the Satellite & Cable Trade Association (“Fachverband Satellit & Kabel”) within the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association ZVEI, also struck a firmly upbeat tone: “Again, ANGA Cable was a great success for the industry. We are very satisfied with the event. The visitors’ “quality” and the international attendance has improved again. Also, both the services offered and the fair hall’s appearance were successfully improved further. ANGA Cable is and will remain to be the most important market place for us in Europe and beyond. We are looking forward to next year’s event.”
The next ANGA Cable will take place 26-28 May 2009, again in Cologne.
