ANGA delivers the numbers
ANGA delivers the numbers
Chris Forrester,
It seems that the giant ANGA trade show in Cologne has hit all its targets. Visitors were up 20%, attracting more than 12,000 visitors to its 22,000 sqm of exhibition space.
ANGA has fixed May 26-28 2009 for its next event, again in Cologne, saying that Germany’s cable operators in particular are aiming for faster broadband growth over the next year when compared with DSL suppliers.
ANGA says its event brought in 369 exhibitors from 29 countries looking at cable, broadband and satellite applications. Herbert Strobel, Chairman of the Satellite & Cable Trade Association (Fachverband Satellit & Kabel) within the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association ZVEI, also struck a firmly upbeat tone: “Again, ANGA Cable was a great success for the industry. We are very satisfied with the event. The visitors’ ‘quality’ and the international attendance has improved again. Also, both the services offered and the fair hall’s appearance were successfully improved further. ANGA Cable is and will remain to be the most important market place for us in Europe and beyond.”
For the first time, the best stand designs were granted the ANGA Cable Design Awards by an independent expert jury: ****** was awarded the first place, Home Shopping Europe the second and Nokia Siemens Networks reached third place. The special award for a small stand up to 20 sqm went to LyngBox Media.
