GlobeCast ups for 5 yrs with SES
SES New Skies has secured a further five-year contract from GlobeCast on the mid-Atlantic NSS-806 satellite at 319.5 East (40.5 deg West). The deal covers a pair of 36 MHz transponders.
GlobeCast North America CEO Mary Frost said: "Our continued partnership with SES is further evidence of our commitment to providing market leading channel distribution across America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This latest deal will allow our international roster of clients to continue to receive the high quality broadcasting services they require to meet their growing needs."

NSS-806 transmits more than 120 leading Spanish and Portuguese-language channels reaching approximately 13.5 million homes and 3,500 cable head-ends across South and Central America.
