German television group ProSiebenSat.1 has sold its TV service provider Broadcast Text International (BTI) to Swedish venture capital group Valedo.
Headquartered in Stockholm, BTI is active Europe-wide as a service provider for the dubbing and subtitling of movies and television programmes. With 110 employees and branches in eight countries, BTI’s customers include numerous TV broadcasters and companies in the home entertainment field. The company, which offers dubbing services in 40 languages, had a turnover in 2007 of SKr149 million (€15.7 million). BTI dubs around 40,000 hours of TV formats, cinema films and DVD programmes each year.
