Bridge Tech links with Tandberg on IPTV
Oslo-based Bridge Technologies and Tandberg have formed a partnership to market the VideoBRIDGE series of IP-Probes for IPTV monitoring. Tandberg will supply VideoBRIDGE installations to broadcasters, telcos, and network operators worldwide, providing the most advanced end-to-end monitoring solution available in the industry.
A press statement says Bridge and Tandberg will collaborate in order to integrate VideoBRIDGE with Tandberg’s own nCompass management and monitoring system. The VideoBRIDGE/nCompass system, says the pair, “provides a comprehensive set of tools and features including full alarm and event handling, settings backup, and MDI MEDIA WINDOW, all from within nCompass. In addition, MDI threshold settings and element management are directly controllable from within the nCompass application.
"For the IPTV industry to attract and keep new customers, it's important that operators can ensure the best quality of service," says Richard Bullock, Business Development Manager at Tandberg. "The VideoBRIDGE technology is a vital part of a quality-assured IPTV system, and together with nCompass it delivers full and complete data on performance from playout to consumer."
"The integrated VideoBRIDGE/nCompass is an excellent example of the benefits end-to-end monitoring can deliver," says Simen Frostad, Chairman, Bridge Technologies. "We are very pleased that a company with Tandberg’s track record and exceptional reputation will be working with us to bring these products to a new base of customers around the world."
