Fast-growing Abu Dhabi Media (ADM), having already set up a $250m fund in partnership with Participant Media (which backed Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth documentary film) is about to announce another paid of Hollywood-focused deals.

Imagination Abu Dhabi, the ADM subsidiary film unit, is looking to place around $1bn to develop and produce content for world and Arab-speaking markets. Edward Borgerding, ADM’s chief exec, told Reuters that in October two further partnership announcements would be made, of a similar size to the Participant Media deal.

"We are a company that companies think of when they have opportunities. I do see media investments in companies happening," Borgerding said.
