Spectacular illusionists Siegfried & Roy are making a rare appearance outside of Las Vegas this coming Sunday at the London Palladium. They are appearing as guests of honour at a celebrity charity benefit. All profits from the gala event go to ‘MagiCares’, with the cash going to DebRA, the charity that funds research into Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a life threatening skin condition which afflicts 5,000 children in the UK alone.

The Sept 28 appearance is almost five years to the day since Roy Horn of the duo was severely mauled by one of the pair’s white tigers during a show in Vegas (Oct 3 2003). But this Sunday’s event is a much happier affair, and described as one of the greatest ever magic and illusion shows ever seen in London.

Billed as a “Tribute to Siegfried & Roy” the show is being captured in HDTV in front of 2300 fans, with 10 VIP acts, described as the very best on the planet, drawn from around the world. Guest video contributions will be beamed in from Cher, Dame Shirley Bassey and Sir Anthony Hopkins.
