Portuguese pay-TV operator Zon TV Cabo on November 3rd will launch the Sony Entertainment Television Asia (SET Asia) and MAX channels, aimed at the Asian community in Portugal.

The SET Asia channel will air movies, series, reality-shows, soap operas and international sport, including popular programs such as Indian Idol, Fear Factor, Extreme Makeover and Deal Or No Deal. For its part, MAX will air movies and cover film festivals, international cricket tournaments and Bollywood awards ceremonies.

The two Premium channels will be available free of charge during the month of November for cable clients subscribed to the Clássico or Funtastic packages in Lisbon, Cruz de Pau, Coimbra and Porto. The marketing of the channels will initiate on December 1st at a cost of E5.99 each or E9.99 for both.
