CHANDIGARH HOTEL RAIDED BY NEO CRICKET



The Sunbeam hotel in Chandigarh was raided in October for an unauthorized telecast of NEO Cricket. The Court commissioner along with Neo's Antipiracy team raided the hotel at 1:45 pm.
The NEO Cricket channel was being telecast illegally on a giant screen in the bar of the hotel. The raiding team collected necessary evidence of the screening of Neo channels. The Court Commissioner was convinced about the piracy and admitted a complaint against the hotel and its staff.
Mr. Arun Poddar, President - Distribution, NEO Sports Broadcast, said "We have approached all major hotels with our offer to subscribe to Neo Channels. Many leading hotels have subscribed tour channels in order to telecast the matches between India and Australia. It's unfortunate to note The Sunbeam Hotel in Chandigarh illegally received the signals from the local cable operator, which is a grave offence. The raid will send out a clear message that such acts of piracy will be nipped in the bud."
