Ten Sports renews Pakistan cricket rights for $140.5 mn
MUMBAI: Ten Sports has renewed its rights for Pakistan cricket. It has signed a five-year deal worth $140.5 million with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Ten Sports had earlier paid $42.5 million for the rights from 2003. This shows that despite the fact that there are security concerns over touring Pakistan, broadcasters are still willing to pay good money for it. The five-year rights will see 181 days of international cricket including 26 Tests, 43 ODIs and eight T20 games. India gets to tour twice during this period. Earlier this year, Ten Sports had renewed its deal for West Indies cricket.
