Foxtel buys 100 hours from Granada
Foxtel buys 100 hours from Granada





Australian pay-TV network Foxtel has acquired more than 100 hours of programming from Granada International Australia, part of ITV Global Entertainment.

The deal covers content for Foxtel's History, Bio, Fox Classics, CI and The Comedy Channel and includes films as Second World War epics Battle Of The River Plate and The Eagle Has Landed, comedy Weekend At Bernie's and Noel Coward's romantic drama Brief Encounter.

It also includes several documentaries, including In The Adventure Of English, which follows the development of the English language; The Celts, which investigates Celtic culture; and Tour of Duty, which details the stories of British and American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.
